The Inter-American Commercial Arbitration Commission (CIAC) is an institution founded by the Organization of American States in 1934, dedicated to the promotion and provision of dispute resolution services through arbitration and mediation, in accordance with its regulations and with the support of its National and Associate Sections (27 arbitration and conciliation centers in Latin America).<\/p>\n

This Convention provides that, in the absence of an express agreement between the parties, arbitration shall be conducted under the rules of the Inter-American Commission on Commercial Arbitration.<\/p>\n
